Barque Events Production Manager

Our Catering department, Barque Events, is hiring! The Production Manager will be responsible for overseeing day to day operations in the catering production kitchen. Duties will include but are not limited to, managing the catering prep team, menu prep, monitoring quality control of all menu items, applying company policies and guidelines, ensuring cleanliness of kitchen, writing daily prep lists, ordering, inventory, employee training and being available to work staffed catering events. 

 Able to lead cooks on daily tasks
 Catering experience an asset
 Minimum 2-3 years kitchen experience
 Minimum 1 year management experience
 Food Handler's Certificate (required)
 Strong knife skills
 Plate foods in an aesthetically pleasing and consistent way
 Evenings and weekends, full time
 Driver’s license is an asset
 Familiarity with southern/low-country cuisine an asset
 Experience with seafood/shellfish an asset
