Barque Events On-site Culinary Manager

Our Catering department, Barque Events, is hiring! The On-site Culinary Manager will be responsible for overseeing the successful completion of on-site catering events of all sizes. Whether a small plated dinner in a private home, or a large scale banquette wedding, the On-site Manager’s duties will include, but are not limited to overseeing and organizing transport of menu items, interacting with clients during events, leading event set up, service and tear down, monitoring quality control of all menu items, applying company policies and guidelines, ensuring cleanliness of kitchen and event spaces, writing daily prep lists, ordering, and being available to work production shifts if needed.

A driver’s license is required for this position
 Able to lead cooks on daily tasks
 Catering experience an asset
 Minimum 2-3 years kitchen experience
 Minimum 1 year management experience
 Food Handler's Certificate (required)
 Strong knife skills
 Plate foods in an aesthetically pleasing and consistent way
 Evenings and weekends, full time
 Familiarity with southern/low-country cuisine an asset
 Experience with seafood/shellfish an asset
